Consumer Returns Policy

(Applies to internet purchases directly from Market Spectrum, Inc. — by internet, boat show, or by phone)

Market Spectrum, Inc. (MSI) values your business and offers you the option to return eligible products you purchase directly from MSI or its website NauticAlert.com. You may return eligible products for a credit or a refund of the purchase price paid, less shipping and handling, as set forth in detail below.

MSI offers a 30-Day Return Period for Nautic Alert Nevata products and for Nautic Alert Touch System products. Unless you have a separate agreement with MSI, Nautic Alert Nevata and Nevata Insight products may be returned within 30 days from the date on the packing slip or invoice for a credit or a refund of the purchase price paid, less shipping and handling. Any product returned to MSI without prior authorization from MSI will be considered an unauthorized return, and the customer will not receive credit for the product and MSI will not ship the product back to you.


Exceptions to Market Spectrum’s 30-Day Return Period:

Cellular data airtime purchased with Nautic Alert Touch products may not be returned at anytime.

Restocking Fees: Unless the product is defective or the return is a direct result of an MSI error, MSI may charge a restocking fee of up to 15% of the purchase price paid, plus any applicable sales tax.


How to Return a Product: Before returning a product, you MUST first contact MSI customer support and obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number before the end of the applicable return period. MSI will not accept returns without a RMA number.

To receive a RMA contact Market Spectrum, Inc. at 800-385-1674 and select the option for Nautic Alert Sales and Support, or send an email to support@nauticalert.com .

When a RMA number is issued, the return shipping address will be provided by Nautic Alert Sales and Support.

You must ship the product to MSI within 5 days of the date that MSI issues the Return Merchandise Authorization number and MUST follow these steps:

Ship back all products you are seeking to return to MSI and for which you received a RMA number. For partial returns, your credit may be less than the invoice or individual component price due to bundled or promotional pricing or any unadvertised discounts or concessions.

Return the products in their original packaging, in as-new condition, along with any media, documentation and any other items that were included in your original shipment.
Ship the products at your expense, and insure the shipment or accept the risk of loss or damage during shipment.

Upon receipt of your return, MSI will issue a refund of the purchase price paid, less shipping and handling, and any applicable restocking fees subject to this policy within 5 business days of receiving the product(s) in accordance with the Consumer Return policy.

Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card used to place the original order.

Once MSI issues the refund, the time required to see the refund on the purchaser’s credit card statement is determined by the financial institution that issued your card.
